Maestro van den Bisschop is an example of the modern way of breeding jumping horses. His father is Cornet Obolensky, a son of the Olympic Games jumping stallion Clinton, out of the mother of the legendary stallion Heartbreaker. Cornet Obolensky also competed at Olympic level. For breeding Cornet Obolensky belongs to the best jumping stallions, he is placed in the top of the WBFSH-ranking list for jumping stallions.
His grandfather Libero H is a son of Landgraf I and, together with his rider Jos Lansink, Libero H won the World Cup Finals. In his offspring we recognise a lot of horses that compete at a Grand Prix level and approved stallions. Then we see Grannus and Zeus, they both were of great value for the breeding of sport horses.
Not only the line of the father, but also the dam line makes Maestro an interesting and unique stallion. His mother, Secret Love Wonderland is known as one of the best acquiring mares of the world. In her offspring we can see Word Cup winner Estina and the BWP approved stallion Dulf van den Bisschop.
Maestro van den Bisschop was stads out with his extra efforts, great reflexes and athletic ability: those are typical characteristics of his family. The expectations for the career of Maestro as a breeding horse and sport horse are high!
