The horse was born in 2013, sired by Manno and out of the keur preferente performance mare Boukje by Plain's Liberator. Idol is himself an honorary class horse and performed very impressively with Mark de Groot at the reins. His undoubtedly most famous and approved son is the eye-catching Magnifiek, who has won everything there is to win with Lambertus Huckriede. Idol's second approved son is Relatief, registered in 2024, who is being presented by Robbie van Dijk. A large number of his offspring are now making a name for themselves as competition horses.
